History Of RESCUE Remedy

The system of plant- and flower-based essences was developed in the 1930s by Dr Edward Bach, a physician and homeopath convinced that emotional wellbeing was key to overall health. He spent many years exploring the use of flowers and plants to develop his simple and gentle system of 38 flower essences, setting up The Bach Centre in Oxfordshire, England, where we continue to prepare the essences exactly as he did.

Nelsons' link with the Bach Original Flower Remedies goes back to the 1930s and Dr Bach himself. As demand grew, Dr Bach supplied us with his concentrated essences, ready for our Pharmacists to make up and pass on to the public. Over the years, the relationship between The Bach Centre and Nelsons continued to grow and we now manufacture and distribute the essences across the world.

How RESCUE Remedy® is made

The flower essences are still sourced from plants grown at Dr. Bach’s former home in Mount Vernon, Oxfordshire. They are then sent to London where they are diluted and bottled to the highest quality standards.

RESCUE Remedy is still made using the original methods developed by Dr Bach over 80 years ago. The original Dr Bach signature is a guarantee that our essences are made in the way he intended. RESCUE Remedy can be taken alongside any of the other 38 essences. RESCUE Remedy is specially blended from five individual flower essences:
